Play is a way in

Games are our current route to market: approachable experiences through which we can reach people, learn from use and turn ideas into something tangible.

Start with an experience worth having

A game can invite someone in without asking them to understand a technology first. A clear challenge, a moment of discovery and the satisfaction of improving are valuable in themselves. That is why games belong in a vision about widening access to possibility: they give us a practical place to make, listen and improve.

This is our current route to reaching a wider audience. The ambition remains open to other routes as different needs and opportunities emerge. A useful experience should earn its place through what it offers the person using it.

Making more room for imagination

Our Game Creation Studio work explores how AI-assisted creation can support the journey from an idea to an experience that people can try. It brings creation, iteration and review into the same process, with attention to whether the result is understandable, enjoyable and suitable for its intended audience.

The point is to give ideas a better chance of becoming real. Faster production helps only if the experience also works for the player. The Game Creation Studio story explains the creation work and what has been learned from it.

Games as research environments

A separate thread asks what AI itself can learn through games. Poker and Matiz offer a setting for studying uncertainty, decision-making and repeated learning. The broader ambition is to extend the range of environments and test whether skills developed in one setting can help in another.

AI helping to build a game, AI learning inside a game and AI shaping a player's experience are different possibilities. Each needs its own design and evidence; a game made with AI does not necessarily contain an AI-powered player experience.

Where play can lead

Over time, playful experiences could connect with learning, creativity and shared exploration. Those possibilities remain part of the direction, while the immediate work is concrete: build experiences, understand how people use them and improve the next iteration.
